Mr. Black Introduces its New Line Up Mr. Black has gone through some changes after a busy 2011. We will be changing up the majority of our material and we have also made some changes in the Band line up. Unfortunatley, Jamie is no longer with us. Jamie has moved on to explore some new musical challenges and we wish him all the luck in the world. He is a talented player and should do well. Finding another keyboard player with Jamie's talent that also gels with the band on a personal level has proven to be difficult. After many auditions and a lot of waiting, we decided we might be sniffing the wrong tree. What if we didn't even need a keyboard player? What if we tried adding another guitar player? Dave Holloway was the first player we thought of. We contacted him and, as it turns out, he was just about to play his last gig with Soulreaper who was disbanding. After our first jam session with Dave, we all new it was going to work. Dave was excited to join the band and we were glad to have him. Here is the new Mr. Black line up. Hob Nobing with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Here is a cool story. The last night we were playing the Inn of the Mountain gods, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was playing the Auditorium. Turns out, after their show, a few of their band members came into the lounge to watch us play. After the show, we were mingling with the crowd and we ended up talking with Dirk (Bass Player for BBVD). Dirk was very impressed with the band and couldn't have been more complimentary. Dirk took our card and said he would pass it along to their manager because he would like Mr. Black to open for them on a few of their shows. Great guy! 12-10-10 Mr. Black to play Whole Enchilada Festival in Las Cruces with national touring act to be named later. 10-29-10 ANDY RAMOS trys on a new look. Andy agreed to be Alice for our Halloween party. What a guy! Chris assured us that the dress would fit him. Brandon walked into the bathroom before the show to see if Andy was ready and their was Andy with nothing but White tights on trying to pull up this blue dress. After Brandon got done laughing hysterically, he decided Andy might need some help. Once they finally got the dress up to Andy's shoulders, the zipper in the back had no chance of zipping up. Andy's studly broad shoulders were just not allowing it. Andy was ready to give up and trash the Alice thing but Brandon said, "NO WAY! WE'VE COME TO FAR!" They ended up putting Andy's white T-shirt on and just leaving it unzipped in the back. Looked funny as hell, but I think it worked. See for yourself. Hob Nobing with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
